October 2013: A day long training initiative is requested for Gold Seal to come and work with inmates, together, to build a new positive learning environment  and initiative. The Gold Seal team quickly set upon designing a day long enterprise and training package that enabled 20+ prisoners to attend a group session and work together to tackle overcoming self esteem, team building, group work, education training and employability skills using purposeful and positive activities.

Some of the countries highest profile offenders attended and it was a magical day where in less than an hour inmates had formed their own workforce, took on board training points and began working together to record some breath taking, heart wrenching and personal content.

Their hard work and efforts can be heard more here:

October 2014: Following 2013′s roaring success, Black History Month was closing in and with a wave of positive feedback and further requests by inmates from the previous year to access this kind of service again, Gold Seal then set upon bringing more for the masses. 2 full days support was requested this time and enabled 40 participants to access 3 hour windows working in small groups to take control and own their own music studio for the days. By creative an apprentice model for all to engage and play key roles in, delivered on the spot with tangible training points and input the inmates quickly identified any other musicians, handing them key working roles and responsibilities and learning together first hand from an experienced music professional as a group and mini workforce to create more jaw dropping content and input.

So often prisoner are written off and left in a system of rehabilitation and their positives go un noticed, however all who attended on the days, including Prison Governor John Biggin OBE, commented on how calm and constructive the learning environment created was and that the inmates literally lead the session for themselves with occasional input at crucial stages form the sessional leader.

Please have a look at the pictures and videos created that capture the magic better and we have also created a playlist with all the content created on the day for anyone eager to hear loved ones on the inside or the positive that was created by all present.
